NEW - HD Premium Image Loop sample page   This exciting new feature allows members to choose any range of dates and see a movie loop of daily charts. You can further customize the loop by changing the speed (frames per second), zoom factor and display area of the chart. In addition to the on-screen control buttons, corresponding keyboard presses will allow control of the movie as well. Using the keyboard, you can move forward or backwards in the loop, as fast or as slow as you would like. The charts used for this service are large multi-merged images. Using multi-merged images avoids some of the cloud cover and other interference that is often seen on daily charts. Multi merged images are a composite of shots covering a 24 hour period.  

NOTE: Try not to have any other programs running when you use this feature. Do not try to load more than 30 to 60 days of images at a time as this may cause unpredictable results and/or freeze your system.  A minimum of 512K of RAM is recommended for 30 days of images, 1GB for 60 days of images. Each image must load directly to your computers memory. If you run out of RAM, the images will load on your hard drive but will not play smoothly and may freeze.  Although these are large images that can take some time to load,  the full resolution movie is worth the wait and resources. You will see the Gulf Stream and its eddies like you have never seen them before! 

NEW - HD Premium interface sample page  This new interface will allow members to see twice the resolution of our standard charts and will allow the user to create and print custom charts to their boundary specifications.  You can decide what areas are important to you by zooming and dragging the full image in the display window. Again, these are large files that may take a few seconds to load before the application is ready to use, but the wait will be worth it - and the fact that you do not have to install any other software continues to make SST Online unique and easy to use.  Like our standard service, you can also mark waypoints with Lat./Long. coordinates and temperature readings. When printed, the charts will be more than twice the size and resolution of our standard printed charts.
